INTO THE ZONE – The Story of …
"Into the Zone" is a film by Jon Alloway. This hilarious and exciting Dada-documentary follows the evolution from the San Francisco Suicide Club - 1977, the exploits of SF Cacophony, their nexus creating the Burning Man Festival, to the irreverent Los Angeles Cacophony and beyond. ITZ features Chuck Palahniuk and an all star cast of miscreants, who continue to shape underground culture.
'The Cacophony Society is, 'a randomly gathered network of free spirits engaged in the pursuit of experiences beyond the mainstream.' The credo is 'You May Already be a Member!' It's a non-religious, non-political, non-commercial disorganization of dada klowns rewiring the neuro-circuits of humanity. It's heart is deeply routed in kitsch, weird and nihilism. It's subversion by way of absurdest pranks and fire!
Many of Cacophony's pranks attract the attention of the media, one in particular, the Fantasia protest, was so successful in it's distressing presentation and discourse it garnered a cover story in Time Magazine as well as San Francisco television news coverage. There is nothing Cacophony loves better than pranking the status quo, the media and religion.
Ken Kesey said it best, "Sometimes you've got to just get on the bus!" This is your unique ticket to take the ride that celebrates chaos, creativity and true freedom of the human spirit! Take the journey "Into the Zone!"
